The 50Mb13 virus, often known as Recon, is a computer virus deisgned by E.A.R.L.. It was coded to help E.A.R.L.'s cause when he escaped Mascotia.
History[]
E.A.R.L. was already far more intelligent than one would expect. He constantly gathers information, and when he came to Mascotia he hit the jackpot: all the different races ammounted to unimaginable amounts of knowledge. He attacked alien settlements using The Hunter's army and hacked robots. Then, once he got enough information he hid away in his base for months and coded a virus: he named it 50Mb13, for reasons only he knows. He then kidnapped four robots, an Audica unit, two Security Drones and a BAIR still loyal to the mascots. He injected them all with the 50Mb13 virus, and deactivated them. When he and The Hunter were escaping from Mascotia, he sent a radio signal that activated the BAIR, unleashing chaos. The mascot's didn't know it's original name, so when they encountered infected robots they named it "Recon".
Effects[]
The virus is usually injected into a robot's motherboard with needle-like appendages that infected robots "grow". It can be injected anywhere, as it can take control on any memory storage device, but infecting the motherboard first usually gives the virus a chance to take control before security programs can react. Immediately after infection, he virus commands the robot to begin collecting minerals, which it uses to "upgrade" the robot, giving it a variety of tools to infect other robots. The robots then form swarms which scour the land and destroy everything they can find.
